BENCHMARKING & MONITORING
Environmental Performance and Monitoring
INTERTANKO’s Environmental Performance and Monitoring Database (EPMD) is designed to provide Members submitting environmental performance data with the means to assess the relative environmental performance of their fleet, per tanker type, against that of the pool of data in the database for both the same tanker type and the entire pool as a whole.
With this tool, Members are able to assess and review the following environmental aspects:
- Air emissions: CO2, EEOI, NOx, SOx and Refrigerant Gases
- Pollution Prevention: Contained spills and pollution to at sea
- Waste Management: Plastics, Food waste, Cooking oil, Incinerator ash, Operational waste, E-waste, Sludge and Bilge Water
- Ship Recycling: IHMs
- Ballast Water Management Systems
- Scrubber types
- Hull management: Propeller and hull cleaning
- Antifouling systems
- Greywater and Blackwater (Sewage) management
You can download the Environmental Performance and Monitoring Database (EPMD) User Guide 2024 here. This guide provides comprehensive background and further information for each question. It shows each section's intention and how this needs to be presented.
You can download the Environmental Performance and Monitoring Database (EPMD) Step-by-step guide 2024 here. This second guide identifies each question in an easier to absorb, step-by-step fashion, indicating the format each answer requires.
