Onboard Familiarisation Checklist: Alternative Fuels

The STCW and IGF Code require that all seafarers serving on board ships subject to the IGF Code shall, prior to being assigned shipboard duties, receive appropriate ship and equipment-specific familiarisation.
Members of INTERTANKO’s Gas Tanker Committee and Joint Working Group for Gas as Fuel have developed a checklist that can be used to conduct familiarisation with the onboard alternative fuel system.
The checklist can be used as a standalone document or could be adopted with the Safety Management System of the company.
