Operators’ Guide to STS for Gas Ships

With the rapid expansion of the global gas tanker fleet and the growing need for cleaner fuels, transfers via seaborne ship-to-ship (STS) operations are an ever-increasing trade. STS operations not only provide flexibility but also the opportunity for trimming transportation costs.
The guide aims to augment the guidance contained within the current edition of the Ship to Ship Transfer Guide for Petroleum, Chemicals and Liquefied Gases by OCIMF, CDI, ICS and SIGTTO (for the purposes of this document we will refer to it as the ‘OCIMF STS Guide’), not replace it.
